Last day in HKG - 28 Oct 2006 - Home Sweet Home

After 4 wonderful days in Hong Kong, we were all physically tired especially daddy. Daddy already showing signs of ageing as he can't stand straight now and keep complaining of his back aching.

Mummy did most of the packing while daddy handles the cleaning and tidying of the room. After all the packing, both our lauggages were bloated and overloaded. We got no choice but to activate our backup plan which is our additional sports bag. We keep all our photo frames and fragile stuffs into the sports bag.

Now it's daddy's turn to nag at mummy. At about 10am, we were all set and ready to go. Suddenly mummy pop up the question to do some last minute shopping at Tung Chung shopping centre. Daddy agreed without much hesitation as he was worried mummy would bring her nagging back to Singapore with him. So we decided to head back to Tung Chung shopping centre for our last minute shopping. This time round, mummy purchased more clothes and also few more for didi and my cousins. Well we could now see smiley faces on her and also sensed that she was satisfied with today's shopping. At about 11.30am, we decided to rush back to hotel and checkout.

"Doa Bao Suai Bao" . . . that was what daddy said. We managed to get some assistance from the hotel staffs to load all our luggages to the airport bus. Once again, daddy and mummy had planned before this trip that they would go airport early so that have time to shop at HK airport. Well well well . . . gussed what! We were rushing to check-in our luaggage and grasping our lunch. Luckily, we managed to buy the popular "wife cake" and other local food stuffs at the airport.

We thank God for His blessings and protection throughout our trip to HK. I enjoyed this holiday very much and can't wait to tell and share with all my friends in school about it.

The End . . .

4th day in HKG - 27 Oct 2006

Today we were suspose to go Ocean Park as planned but since we did not cover disneyland completely we decided to go back to disneyland for the remaining rides and shows.

When we arrived at Disneyland for the second time, we head straight to my favourite rides. We also visited the Kodak photoshop and brought the photos taken by disney's photographer. We selected 4 photos from about 40++ photos. Next, we went ahead and watched 2 shows, "Simba The Lion King" and "Donald Duck in 3-D animation". We enjoyed both shows and decided to do more shopping.

After all the shopping, it was already 3 pm and daddy asked if we are all satisfied and ready to leave Disneyland. Well i have took most of the rides and taken photos with most of the disney characters so i guessed it is really time to go. Our next stop was Tung Chung shopping centre and daddy and mummy were looking for watches and sport shoes. Finally daddy managed to spot and brought 2 watches and a couple of Timberland tee shirts. As for mummy, she brought a baby-G watch and few clothes from Espirit.

We settled our dinner at Thai restrauant and return back to hotel immediatley as we were all very tired after all the shoppings.

Mummy did not look too happy for the day because she did not get what she wants in the shopping spree. Basically she can't get the shoe size for all the shoes that she wanted to buy. Due to this, she keeps nagging to daddy throughout the whole night and daddy cannot stand it anymore and decided to go back to the shopping mall next day.

Mummy also started packing as we are flying back home to Singapore tomorrow afternoon.

3rd Day in HKG - 26 Oct 2006

Today is dedicated for mummy. It is a day where you will do a lot of walking and shopping.

Well here ‘s the plan, first go Fa Yuen Street then the popular Ladies Night Market then walk down to Langham Place then take MTR down to Tsim Sha Tsui and look for Hard Rock Café and last stop to the Avenue of Star for a lovely stroll along the bay to see the beautiful landscape of Hong Kong island.

We set off and took the MTR to Mongkok station. After a short walked, we finally reached entrance of Fa Yuen Street.

Mummy only managed to buy few baby clothes for didi and cousins. Actually the only thing that enticed her was the baby clothes, as the rest of the them doesn't look of good quality thus not interested. I guessed mummy's shopping standard and expectation are higher now.

We spent half-day at Fa Yuen Street and decided to head down to Langham Place for lunch. We saw this very interesting food stalls that sells only dessert. Tried the Walnut & Almond paste and it was yummy. Daddy likes it very much but before he could finish the dessert, “pooh… pooh…pooh…” OH NO! A very smelly smell suddenly flow out from didi’s pampers. It was also grossed as the yellowish “poo poo” can be seen on the edges of the pampers. In fact some of them already came out of the pampers which is visible. Mummy suggested that we continue to finish the dessert and then go change didi’s pamper but daddy disagree and says “No way”! ! ! The poo poo smell and didi’s crying has already attracted the people around us and it was so awkward to continue the dessert pretending normal.

With that smell, daddy quickly settled the bills and rushed off to the nearest toilet and cleared the mess up on didi. Sigh! What a waste to all the desserts.

Ladies Night Market was our next stop and as usual, it did not attract much of mummy’s attention. We continued to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and walk down to Nathan Road. This is where daddy brought us to a Asian food court where he used to eat when he was in HKG for business trip. After dinner, we went to Hard Rock Café, which was a few stalls away. Mummy brought a tee shirt for herself and got 10% discount with daddy’s hard rock membership card.

After all the fun, we walked down to Avenue of Stars where we spent the whole evening enjoying the views and taking photos along the very windy bay. We decided to end our day #3 after feeling exhausted from the walking and travelling. We head back straight to the hotel.

2nd day in HKG - 25 Oct 2006

The moment of truth! Today i'm going to Disneyland ! ! Yeah . . .

We took a bus to Tung Chung MTR and head down to Sunny MTR station where Disneyland Resort line operates. There was this special train where shapes of Mickey mouse were on it. We finally reached the entrance of Disneyland at about 10 am. We saw lots of people coming in and daddy rushed to purchase the tickets. The tickets cost about HKD 300 per adult and HKD 150 for children.

There are 3 parts in Disneyland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Adventureland. I took most of rides like dumbee, carousel, mat hatter cup and daddy's favourite "Space Mountain". I went up twice for most of the rides and one time with daddy and another with mummy. Haha . . . didi is too young for all the rides therefore daddy and mummy had to take turns to look after him while i took those rides.

After the rides, we went queuing up for photo taking sessions with all the Disney characters. They were so friendly and playful especially "tigger". Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty were the most sweetest as they spoke to me quite a lot. I like their costumes too. I cannot believe I’m so close with all of them. My favourite one is of course Minnie mouse because she's so very cute and gentle to me.

I also took photos with other characters like Winnie the Pooh, Pluto and of course Mickey Mouse. One of the main events in Disneyland was the Disney Parade, which attracted alot of people. In fact, we saw lots of people crowding along the route 1 hour before start time. Being a typical "kia su" Singaporean, we also went to "chop" the front view so that can captured the parade better. The parade was enjoying but daddy told me the one in Tokyo was much better. Haha . . . i quickly pop up the question to bring me there and daddy said the next round would be Disneyland USA. Yeah ! ! !

After the parade, we continued with our rides until evening time when mummy wants to do shopping. We brought couple of toys, clothes and of course mummy's favourite photo frames. We then head straight down to the Castle and waited patiently for the firework display to start. We watched the whole firework display and it was so amazing to see such beautiful flashings and sparking above the castle. The whole view and lightings on the castle were just amazing.

Well after the firework display, it was already 8 pm and we strolled down to the shops again for last minute shopping. Our last stop before exit was the Kodak photoshop where we were supposed to collect our photos that were taken during the daytime with the Disney characters. The queue was quite long and we gave up queuing as it was already quite late and all of us were shagged and dead tired. We decided to head back home and rush for our dinner at Tung Chung MTR.When we reached the hotel, we all took a quick warm bath and zoom straight to bed. What a day for all of us and daddy and mummy kisses me good nite and sweet dreams.

Our Vacation to Hong Kong - 24th Oct 06

Mummy & Daddy finally had time to update the blog. We are going to share with you our recent vacation trip to Hong Kong. Mummy and daddy had planned this vacation early this year in which Hong Kong was chossen due to Disneyland. Initially we wanted "por por" and "ah mah" to join us but "por por" leave application was rejected and "ah mah" wanted to rest during our absence. :-)

We were all very excited prior to this trip because it was our first time travelling as a family. This means that daddy and mummy had to count on themselves to handle both of us. :-) I am not sure how they are going to deal that but that's their problem. For me, disneyland is my dream and now we are finally going there.

See photo below. In the taxi on our way to airport terminal 2 and posing with our lugguage!

Actually we intended to arrive airport early so that mummy can explore and do some shopping in the airport but don't know what happened to our schedule and we were practically rushing to the departure gate. Daddy told me the flight to HK was free as he uses his milleage from his krisflyer account. Wow! SQ lei. I never take SQ plane and mummy also long time never travel on plane since one and half years ago. Anyway, this is the beginning of our journey and can't wait to share more . . .

I got a seat to myself and daddy told me the total flight time was about three and half hours. Not too bad for me as i have cartoons shows to accompany me all the way. I watched "Car" and like the show very much. Mummy also very "sua ku" and watched the movie "Click". Before this trip, daddy went to Auckland and keep recommending mummy this movie. Daddy said it was funny and touching at the end. Haa ! since mother and daughter now enjoying the flight entertainment, it left with with daddy to take care of didi. As usual, didi was active and keep moving around. Luckily he fall asleep after "milk milk" time and we all enjoyed this peace time especially it was our meal time. I can see mummy and daddy so happy on their faces.

The food was so-so and whole flight was very smooth and pleasant. Thank God for that!

We arrived HKG at around 2 plus in the afternoon. We had a short break for refreshments and suddendly daddy spotted this little girl dressed as "snow white". So cute and i thought to myself if daddy is going to get one for me at disneyland.

After the break, we took the shutter bus from airport to Cathay City. We are heading to this hotel called Headland Hotel. Again i was told this loddging is free again. This hotel room belongs to grand auntie Vera. She works for Cathay Pacific and had booked this room for her long stay there. Well after checking into the room, we were all shocked and amazed at the way things are being placed inside. The feeling was like a home to us.

Anyway, it was already 4 pm and we are ready for our first destination, Victoria Peak!

We took a bus to Tung Chung MTR and had our dinner there. In order not to waste too much time, we decided to have a quick dinner at MacDonald there. We arrived at Central MTR station and mummy and daddy started to stared at the map and wonder which direction to go. For me, i am already tired and decided to take over the pram and sleep. Mummy was carrying didi then.

The walk to the Tram station was a long one as daddy and mummy were walking and walking and asking for direction. After some time of UP and DOWN, we finally reached the Tram station and took the Tram upwards to the peak.

The view on top of the Peak was fantastic and windy. I was quite tired by then and don't really enjoy it. Only daddy was happily taking photos of mummy & didi. After the phototaking session, they decided to take a taxi back to hotel. Well . . . it was a expensive ride back and it cost daddy about HKD300 ! ! ! Mummy keeps nagging about the expensive ride but daddy say that it is impossible for him to go thru the UP and DOWN walk to Central MTR and another 30 minutes back to Tung Chung . . . Well that was our first day in HKG. :-)

Mummy's new Kitchen Helper

Today I helped mummy prepared the dishes for lunch. I loved french beans very much and also enjoy peeling them. See !!! I am a grown up girl liao.

Mummy's note: I felt that my girl has grown up and shown keen interests to learn new things. Recently, she likes to observe me doing things like preparing dishes, preparing her milk and some other housework chores. I can sense that she wants to hands-on and thus have given her some simple tasks to do. I guessed this is the growing stage hopefully one day she will grow up to like cooking, baking and handycraft, same like me. :-)

A new born - Cousin Aloysius

We have a new member who came onboard to our family today, 14 Oct 2006. He is none other than our new youngest cousin for the year 2006. He is also the younger brother of Cousin Alicia and his name is Aloysius. I'm happy for Cousin Alicia as she is now same the status as me being "Jie Jie" (elder sister)

We visited "Ah Bok" today at SGH and was told that Cousin Aloysius weighs about 3.14kg.

See how cute and small Cousin Aloysius is on the photo and opps !!! who is that big baby sitting on the baby basinet with a cheeky smily face? Ha !!! he is none other than my Didi Gabriel. Well i think hs is too big for that now.

"Kor Kor" Javier

Cousin Javier came over to our house with Por Por today. You can see how happy both of them were on the photos. FYI, Didi and Javier were born in the same month - Feb 2006.

Don't they look like brothers ? :-)

Auntie Cecilia's Wedding

Today we attended Auntie Cecilia's wedding at Pan Pacific ballroom. Auntie Cecilia is mummy's ex-colleague and also shopping kaki. :) The ballroom was beautiful and food were great.

The haze condition was bad on that day as the PSI reading was 130 just before we set off. The reading was also the highest reported so far and we could smell burning ashes and the visibility was bad.

Here are some photos taken at the dinner.

Didi's 5th Tooth

Today mummy saw something flashing on didi's mouth. Haha, didi's 5th tooth is popping out on the upper left and it is also called the lateral incisor. Mummy is now considering whether to stop breast feeding didi and change to bottle feed.
